Dear Colleague,
with the hyperbaric oxygen therapy, also referred to as 'hyperbaric oxygenation' (HBOT), you have an additional therapy-option at your disposal, for example if:
- Infusions with cortisone, from cases of acute hearing loss to tinnitus, do not precipitate sufficient recovery.
- Wounds refuse to heal in spite of every effort.
- Knee pains are caused by Ahlbaeck’s disease.
- Patients are suffering from the long term consequences of radiation.
- Radiocystitis or radioproctitis subsequent to radiotherapy cannot be satisfactorily treated.
HBOT provides an additional opportunity that I would be pleased to discuss with you. It is an economical therapy with hardly any side effects which can be often used successfully parallel or subsequent to other methods.

The Pressure Chamber Centre of Freiburg, Centre for Hyperbaric Medicine was established in 1996. Our long-term experiences with applying the hyperbaric oxygen therapy enable our doctors to make reliable statements regarding its chances and the corresponding therapeutic time window for the application of HBOT. With our multi-user pressure chamber we are in possession of the newest pressure chamber technology. Since September 18th, 2009 our establishment has been verified according to the quality management system (QMS) ISO 9001:2008 by the Germanic Lloyd Certification GmbH.
The Pressure Chamber Centre of Freiburg not only offers ambulant care with hyperbaric oxygen therapy by our in this terrain trained doctors and co-workers. Since May 2009 we and the attached HBO2-day clinic of Freiburg offer interdisciplinary care for complex therapy in case of acute hearing disorders and chronic wounds.
