Providers of hyperbaric oxygen therapy joined together in the Association of German Pressure Chamber Centres, the ‘Verband Deutscher Druckkammerzentren e.V.’ (VDD e.V.) The association represents the interests of the associated pressure chamber centres, promotes hyperbaric medicine in Germany and defines uniform quality and safety standards for both the pressure chamber technique and for the relevant treatment regimens as well as for staff training. On the websites you can find a distinguished list with detailed information on the German pressure chambers members of the Association of German Pressure Chamber Centres.
In Germany, the professional scientific association for hyperbaric oxygen therapy is the 'Gesellschaft für Tauch- und Überdruckmedizin e.V.' (GTÜM e.V.). This professional association evaluates possible applications of HBOT from a medical perspective.
