It closes a gap between the ambulant use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and an absolutely necessary inpatient treatment. To create the conditions for a long lasting curative effect during the treatment period with HBOT, the isolated application of HBOT is not always sufficient. Day-clinical care is useful when treatment with HBOT requires further interdisciplinary medical and / or therapeutic assistance and counselling.
