Unbearable buzzing in the ears, annoying continuous tones, ringing in the head

Noise in the ear and tinnitus can make you ill. The permanent “buzzing in the ears” is unbearable for the persons affected, above all, if the peeping, piping, ringing, pounding, whizzing or rushing noises even continue in their sleep. They often hear noises with no external, objective source of sound. Frequently, this is caused by noise pollution and stress and often these symptoms are only of temporary nature.

 

In case of permanent tinnitus complaints: Immediately consult an ENT specialist

But: If noise in the ear and sudden deafness do not disappear by themselves, you should consult an ENT specialist as soon as possible in order to have your complaints be diagnosed. One should never underestimate tinnitus and noise in the ear.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an additional option and alternative for the treatment of tinnitus

If specialist treatment, e.g. with infusions, tablets and/or cortisone shows no or insufficient success, HBOT offers another chance. The sooner HBO is administered, the better it is able to work with hearing defects of all kinds. The therapy can also be administered with success if the standard treatment has been unsatisfactory. All the same, it is not always predictable as to how the body uses the chances it is offered.

 

Regeneration of the sensory cells by oxygen

The high oxygen level in the body and in the sensory cells of the inner ear provides a considerable degree of support to the regeneration. The hyperbaric oxygen therapy opens up additional treatment options for tinnitus and ear noise through its different therapeutic approach: the high oxygen content in the body and the sensory cells of the inner ear enhances to a high degree the level of regeneration from an acoustic trauma. Medication and infusions have an effect via vascular dilation / stimulation of blood circulation. HBOT works through the increasingly dissolved oxygen in the blood. In the culture fluid of the sensory cells the oxygen content increases by 4 - to 6-fold and intensively supplies the entire inner ear and therefore areas which are affected by lack of supply.

 

Strong against tinnitus: HBOT plus cortisone plus infusion

The combination of HBOT with infusions and cortisone is advantageous. At the Pressure Chamber Centre of Freiburg patients with tinnitus are able to conduct an infusion therapy. Act quickly in case of permanent tinnitus complaints!
